Important Update for Texas ERS Dental Plan Members

Beginning September 1, 2026, the Texas Employees Retirement System (ERS) will transition administration of the State of Texas Dental ChoiceSM PPO and DHMO plans from Delta Dental to Humana Dental. This change affects the plan administrator only—ERS will continue to determine the dental benefits, including covered services, copayments, and coinsurance, so your plan design remains the same. Current ERS dental members do not need to re-enroll, as coverage will automatically transfer to Humana Dental unless changes are made during Summer Enrollment or due to a qualifying life event. Delta Dental will continue administering benefits and claims through August 31, 2026, with Humana Dental taking over on September 1, 2026. As Humana rolls out the transition, members will receive information about the new member portal, provider search tool, customer service contacts, and account registration.
